12:30pm – 2:30pm Getting your Work In front of Others with Erin Forsyth
An in-depth look at ways to meaningfully promote yourself and your work.
Erin Forsyth is an artist and illustrator passionate about the intersection of cultural and biological diversity. This interest is expressed through continuing study of plants, animals and eco-systems and the impact of human activity on the environment. Each work is underpinned by extensive research of her given subject, ranging from conversation with the people behind the scenes of entomology collections or captive breeding programmes, to visiting unique environments and tracking down rare books. Forsyth shares these experiences, providing learning opportunities through print, film, exhibitions and social media. Images from the series have been licenced by organisations such as Predator Free NZ, Puke Ariki Museum and Community Waikato and original paintings purchased for the Parliamentary Service, Wallace Arts Trust and Auckland Council public art collections.
