Friday 10:00am - 12:00pm, weekly
4 terms with 9 classes each term
Starts Friday 9 February 2018
This class introduces people to ‘the art world’ in Auckland, in New Zealand, and around the world. As well as visits to art galleries, and discussions about national and international art events, we cover the major movements of the 20th Century. By the end of Year 1, students are beginning to understand the connections between the art of today and the history and politics driving the art of “yesterday” - here in New Zealand and around the world. This understanding greatly enhances travel experiences they may have or plan to have.
